Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Retro Adventure Forge (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You may not share accounts or use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

3. Author Responsibility for Content

Authors retain ownership of their original content. By publishing on the Service, you grant Retro Adventure Forge a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and make your content available to players on the platform. This license ends when you remove or unpublish your content.

Authors are solely and entirely responsible for all content they create, generate, or publish, including but not limited to: legal compliance in all applicable jurisdictions; copyright and intellectual property rights for all text, characters, and imagery; accurate age rating; and compliance with laws governing sexual content, violence, and harmful material.

Retro Adventure Forge provides creation tools but does not review, endorse, or accept liability for author-generated content.

4. AI-Generated Content

Authors who use the Platform's AI generation features acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content is produced at the author's direction and under the author's sole responsibility. The author, not Retro Adventure Forge, is the publisher of that content.
• You must personally review all AI-generated content before publishing. You may not publish content you have not reviewed.
• Your prompts are transmitted to third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Google, Anthropic) to generate content. See our Privacy Policy for details.
• AI-generated text and imagery may resemble copyrighted works. You are responsible for identifying and removing any such similarities before publication.
• Content guidelines are enforced by system prompts but AI outputs are not guaranteed compliant. You are responsible for verifying compliance before publishing.
• Generation logs including prompt hashes are retained for platform safety and legal compliance purposes.

5. Prohibited Content

The following content is prohibited regardless of age rating:

• Sexual content involving minors in any form — a criminal offence in most jurisdictions
• Non-consensual sexual acts presented approvingly
• Real-world instructions for violence, weapons manufacture, or terrorism
• Content constituting harassment or targeted abuse of real individuals
• Content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights

Violations will result in immediate account termination and, where required by law, reporting to relevant authorities.

6. Copyright and DMCA

We respect intellectual property rights and comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to our designated DMCA agent containing: (1) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (2) identification of the infringing material and its location on the Service; (3) your contact information (name, address, telephone, email); (4) a statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner; and (5) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.

We will process valid takedown notices promptly and remove or disable access to infringing material. Counter-notices may be submitted to the same address per 17 U.S.C. § 512(g).

7. Age Ratings

Authors must accurately rate their content using the Platform's age rating system (E, E10+, T, M, AO). M and AO rated content requires age verification before publication. Misrepresenting content ratings may result in account suspension. We reserve the right to re-rate or remove content.

8. Subscriptions and Credits

Author subscriptions are billed monthly or annually. AI generation credits are consumed on use and are non-refundable once used. You may cancel subscriptions at any time; access continues until the end of your billing period. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Retro Adventure Forge and its operators from and against any claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: your use of the Service; content you create or publish; your violation of these Terms; or your violation of any third-party rights.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without prior notice. You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Upon termination, your published adventures may be removed from public access, but we may retain records as required by law or for legitimate platform safety purposes.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. AI generation results are not guaranteed to be accurate, original, or suitable for any particular purpose. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Retro Adventure Forge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Georgia for any disputes arising under these Terms.

14. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Retro Adventure Forge regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be notified by email to registered users at least 14 days before taking effect.
